Stortford Toys was established in 2010 after the demise of Woolworths. We soon realised that the high street seemed doomed as it was apparent that lots of shops were closing down and more and more customers were going online to shop from the comfort of their homes or from their devices on the move. Along with the fact that there were no toy shops left in Bishops Stortford (my home town since 1975), hence the idea for a local online shop was born. A slight contradiction of terms maybe but it was that idea that has taken Stortford Toys to a Global online toyshop shipping all over the world to some countries so small many people haven’t even heard of (including me - isn’t google maps great?). Some so remote they are in the middle of the pacific ocean amongst many many more.
